Adrienne Morgan was fine as always, but your underwriters were ridiculous. Asking for documents multiple times, then STILL getting the closing amounts wrong, which meant we had over $11,000 of "debt" wrapped into our home loan -- despite the fact I paid them off weeks prior to closing, and sent those docs TWICE. Also, asking for multiple copies of other things that I signed and dated, but you had to have my husband sign them since he's the one on the loan, DESPITE THE FACT THAT marriage is an EQUAL DEAL, and NO ONE in this entire half-a-million-dollar transaction would have made a single dime from us buying this house without ME -- I did all the paperwork, all the paper chasing, all the calling, all the emailing and texting, all the coordinating of Realtors and our two lenders (Fairway and Knock, our bridge loan lender), planned the repairs, inspections, literally EVERYTHING, and even found the damn house, yet because my husband makes more money than me, he's on the loan and everything is under his name for this loan? And because I was asked to pay off our debt (that debt that your underwriters failed to take out of our closing documents), and because North Carolina is a misogynistic state that refuses to see that marriage IS an equal deal, my name isn't on the loan, only the deed, but this means I no longer have any debt in my name, which means I have nothing reporting to the credit bureaus, so how long before my credit scores start tanking? Also, guess who makes sure we can pay the mortgage every month, and then actually pays the mortgage on time every month? Hint: not my husband, your precious bread winner. What happens if he dies? The loan isn't in my name... What happens then? No one has explained that to me. Guess I'm supposed to find another husband so he can take over the loan? I'm kidding... I'd sell this house and be back in Oregon in a week.
So, I not only had to leave my beloved Oregon and the PNW to move here for his job, a company that also ignored and erased me, both of our home purchases here also ignored and erased me, even though I did all of the work so you people could make some money.
Good job!!! Keep up that stellar work.
